Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon’s card grails span Amada redemption gold prizes, elusive PP sets, manga-art promotions and Jimmy Choo collaboration cards. Release history, exact variants, condition and completeness matter more than a rarity label. Explore ten collector targets through dated sales, retail asks and dealer references—without confusing them with current market values.

Ten Sailor Moon grail targets

Redemption gold prizes, difficult vintage sets and modern collaboration cards occupy very different markets. The strongest targets have identifiable release histories, exact variants and condition evidence—not just a low grading population.

Based on supplied research. Source names are retained below; the underlying listings have not been independently rechecked. These dated references are not ten confirmed current market values.

01 / Vintage prize set

Amada Magical Card System — Special Gold #641–643

A centerpiece for a vintage collection: #641 Super Sailor Moon, #642 Super Sailor Chibi Moon and #643 featuring both. These redemption prizes were tied to the PP Part 13 promotion and its blacklight winning-card mechanism. The original presentation folder and notification letter are part of the collecting objective.

The 2024 sale is historical, not a 2026 comparable. A reliable current retail range for a complete presentation set has not been established.

02 / Vintage prize single

Amada 22K Gold — Eternal Sailor Moon

A separate fifth-anniversary Memorial prize card, not one of #641–643. Collector documentation links it to winning-insert redemption; Suruga-ya catalogs it under Amada’s 1996 Trading Collection. Identify the specific Eternal Sailor Moon 22K issue, rather than a standard foil loosely called gold.

These references do not establish a current resale range. The 22K name alone is not a basis for bullion valuation.

03 / Modern collaboration

Jimmy Choo × Sailor Moon — JC-01 numbered Super Rare

The strongest scarcity-focused modern lead in the supplied research. The examined PSA 10 example carries a Super Rare label and a small gold-stamped 15 on its reverse. Sailor Moon Fan Network reports fan-club confirmation of numbered versions, but a definitive print run was not established.

Number 15 does not mean 15 copies printed. A stamped number does not make every card with that illustration a one-of-one. Require uncropped front/back photos and matching certification before comparing prices.

04 / Set-completion grail

Amada PP Part 14 — complete 98-card set #644–741

A full-set challenge, not a premium single. Mandarake describes Part 14 as exceptionally difficult: 50 SuperS cards (#644–693) and 48 Stars cards (#694–741). The first half is scarcer. Completion means all 98 numbers, with foil and construction variants checked; the archived example specified square-prism stickers.

No completed sale of the full 98-card set was verified. The old unsuccessful reserve is not a current market valuation; a later-half regular set is not complete Part 14.

05 / Modern character grail

Jimmy Choo × Sailor Moon — JC-01 R, PSA 10

The ordinary Rare version has a dated graded transaction, unlike the numbered Super Rare above. The 2024 collaboration cards were purchase gifts: the official announcement described 12 designs in two versions, 24 cards total, distributed three per pack—not ordinary retail boosters.

One historical PSA 10 sale does not establish an October 2026 range or a raw-card price. Normal, Rare and numbered Super Rare transactions must remain separate.

06 / Vintage single

Amada PP Part 14 — #644 Princess Soldier Prism

A focused entry into the difficult Part 14 set. #644 belongs to its scarce first half, #644–693, giving it a documented series-based scarcity argument rather than relying only on a low grading population.

No sufficiently verified recent sale of the matching variant was found. A graded premium needs evidence of a materially different condition or grade.

07 / Iconic first-series card

Amada PP Part 1 — #1 Sailor Moon Prism

Part 1, card #1, Sailor Moon herself and the recognizable pink-bordered prism design make this a vintage centerpiece. Its appeal is iconic identity and condition—not an established tiny print run. Prioritize original surfaces and the correct printing over unsupported rookie-card or first-edition claims.

This is one raw-card transaction, not a repeat-sales range. Do not extrapolate it to PSA 9 or PSA 10.

08 / Manga-art promotional pair

Bandai Memorial Carddass — 100 Million Cards / Fly to the World

Two commemorative designs featuring Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga artwork: 1億枚突破記念カードダス and 世界にはばたけセーラームーン!!. The first celebrates 100 million cards, not one billion. Dealer documentation connects commemorative non-sale cards with special distribution, including magazine and exhibition channels; no fixed print run was verified.

The price is for the pair, not each card. One lot does not establish a narrow current range. Historically interesting, but below the Amada gold prizes in trophy status.

09 / Accessible collaboration chase

Jimmy Choo × Sailor Moon — JC-07 R Sailor Uranus

The Uranus Rare belongs to the same purchase-gift collaboration and must be distinguished from its normal version. It offers a recent raw auction reference, but character preference is not proof of a smaller allocation than other ordinary Rare characters.

The sold copy is not a mint benchmark. A reliable current mint-single range remains unestablished; ordinary Uranus R scarcity relative to other R characters was not officially established.

10 / Specialist condition target

Amada Hero Collection SuperS — WGL-1 unpeeled double prisms

Layered double-prism construction conceals another prism beneath the upper layer. An intact, unpeeled copy preserves that collecting feature. WGL covers multiple releases, so the designation alone is not proof of extreme rarity.

Different artwork means these are not repeat sales of an identical card or a universal ¥9,800–14,800 WGL valuation. Intact layers and surfaces matter more than unsupported ultra-rare marketing.

Variant matters

The Jimmy Choo hierarchy

Normal

A collaboration collectible, not automatically a major rarity. Keep normal-card references separate from R sales.

Rainbow Rare / R

Compare the same character, variant, condition and grade. JC-01 R and JC-07 R are not interchangeable comparables.

Gold-numbered / Super Rare

Identify the reverse stamp and certification. Pricing evidence remains thin; neither “limited to 30” nor one-of-one status was established.

Other collaborations, including Holiland / 好利来, should not inherit Jimmy Choo valuations simply because they are collaboration cards.

Before buying

Completeness before the premium

For a vintage centerpiece, prioritize #641–643 with its folder and letter. For singles, investigate the 22K Eternal Sailor Moon and PP #644. Ask for uncropped front and back photos, angled-light surface close-ups, exact variant identification and matching certification. Assess prize cards, folders and letters separately.

Low population is not a price floor: the supplied research cites a CGC Pristine 10 Luna & Artemis #211 sale at US$43.20 on August 24, 2026, followed by a US$250 ask. Source cited: Fanatics Collect.
